BOB
STURTEVANT
Bob Sturtevant serves as the Forestry Extension Specialist for
Colorado State University's College of Natural Resources. Bob
has 27 years experience with the Colorado State Forest Service
working in private and state land management and now provides
education/outreach services for CO Wood as well as serving as
a liaison to the Front Range Fuels Treatment Partnership. For
eight years Bob was the manager of the Colorado State Forest
near Walden, and he spent one year as an exchange forester in
Australia where he was involved in production forestry. Prior
to becoming the Extension Forester he held the position of Conservation
Education Division Supervisor for the State Forest Service.
Bob earned a BS and MS from the CSU - College of Natural Resources.
TIM
READER
Tim is a forester with the Colorado
State Forest Service. As a staff member of Colorado Wood, Tim
provides technical assistance to the states forest products industries
concerning wood Utilization and marketing issues and opportunities.
Prior to joining Colorado Wood, Tim spent time as a forester with
the White Mountain Apache Indian Tribe in White River, Arizona,
and as a quality control technician for a plywood and particleboard
resin manufacturer in southern Oregon. Tim holds a MS degree in
Forest Management from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff,
and a BS in Wood Science from Colorado State University in Fort
Collins.

JOSEPH A. DUDA
Joe is Co-Manager of CO Wood and has 28 years professional forestry
experience. This includes 25 years in the forest products industry
and 3 ½ years with the Colorado State Forest Service. He
currently is Forest Management Division Supervisor with the Colorado
State Forest Service. Joe's past experience includes serving as
resource manager for a forest products company sawmill. He has
extensive knowledge of laws and policies related to forest management,
wood products marketing and utilization as well as wood harvesting
and transportation costs. Joe also serves on the Bureau of Land
Management Front Range Resource Advisory Council. He has a BS
in Forestry from Michigan Technological University.
DAWN GARDNER
Dawn is currently working with CO Wood
providing assistance to forest-related businesses, especially
in the areas of business plans and entrepreneurial workshops.
She has worked with the City of Portland, the Portland Business
Alliance and the Portland Development Commission to develop
a Small Business Prosperity Strategies and coordinated the first
Revolving Loan Fund for forest related businesses in the Four
Corners region. She has served as Director of the Colorado Rural
Development Program (CRTP), working to increase economic activity
in rural areas through the telecommunications environment, and
as a small office/home office specialist at the Center for the
New West. At CO Wood, Dawn continues to provide entrepreneurial
training workshops, curriculum development and research for
USDA employees, forest-related businesses, the artistic community,
and various workshops for the home-based business community.
